How To Control Ground-Based Ground Cracking
October 30, 2019
There are two ways to control ground-based ground cracking:
Control the location of the crack by installing a shrink seam (the crack width cannot be controlled)
Control the crack width by installing a reinforcement device (the crack position cannot be controlled)

(Vanse YZ30-4E Laser leveling On Working Site)
Control the location of the crack by installing a shrink seam:
Control the cracking position of the concrete slab; the width of the shrink joint or the crack in the joint is largely controlled by the joint spacing and concrete shrinkage. As the seam spacing and concrete shrinkage increase, the seam width also increases.
Similar to the crack, if the seam width is close to about 0.9 mm, the efficiency of locking and transferring the aggregate between the aggregates and avoiding vertical displacement between the seams is greatly reduced. In view of this, many designers use load-conducting designs such as force-transmitting rods, force-transmitting sheets, or continuity-enhancing devices at the shrink seam position to ensure good load transfer and limit vertical displacement between seams.
Care must be taken when using the above-mentioned one crack control method on the same floor. If a large number of reinforcing devices pass through the expansion joint, the seam will become too hard to crack and open as designed. When the shrink seam is unable to be activated (ie, cracked and opened) due to the action of the reinforcing device, cracking at a non-seamed portion or a random position is generally generated.

How to deal with the ground after the construction of a concrete laser leveler?
– Polishing : When the poured and leveled concrete reaches the initial setting, the ground polishing process begins. First, use a single-disc polishing machine and a trowel disc to cross-break the slurry and trowel to ensure the flatness control of the machine operation process. Then, use a 3-meter scraper to rotate 360° to level the surface layer to achieve full control of flatness. After the first disc cross-trowel, professional technicians use a 3-meter scraper to fully level the compacted concrete surface layer. – Finishing : As the disc trowels, the machine uses a blade to smooth it. According to the speed of the strength increase, when the concrete theoretically reaches the final setting, the mechanical vertical knife method is used, combined with the machine speed and blade angle, to perform the final finishing on the surface layer. – Moisturizing maintenance: After the floor is finished, use a maintenance blanket or a special maintenance non-woven fabric to cover it and water it to keep it moist. Concrete needs to be cured 12 hours after pouring. It can be covered with plastic cloth, watered, or sprayed for maintenance. The curing should be carried out for at least 7 days. – Temperature control: Ensure that the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the concrete is less than 25℃, assign a special person to watch over it, ensure that the concrete surface is clean and watered in place. – Cover protection: If the upper construction continues on the finished floor, it is necessary to strengthen the protection of the finished product. The paper fiberboard can be used to cover the entire system to protect the concrete surface. – Protective measures: When dismantling the shelf, you can use a protective bamboo fence to cover the entire range of the dismantled shelf, and throw the dismantled steel pipes and fasteners on the bamboo fence to prevent the steel pipes and fasteners from directly hitting the "clear water concrete" floor (ground). – Anti-pollution treatment: If there are anti-pollution requirements for the finished floor (ground) surface, a special concrete sealing wax can be applied to the finished surface to form a surface wax coating to prevent pollution from damaging the floor (ground) surface. – Expansion joint cutting: After the concrete is finally set, the expansion joint is cut according to the design requirements to prevent the ground from cracking.Read More

What are the specific details of regular inspection and maintenance of consumables for concrete laser leveling machines?
Regular inspection and maintenance of consumables of concrete laser leveling machine is the corePrevent wear and failure of key componentsTo avoid sudden failures during construction that affect flatness and efficiency, it is necessary to execute the work in order of priority based on "wearing parts – precision parts – auxiliary systems". For core consumables that are in direct contact with concrete and wear the fastest, focus on checking the "amount of wear" and "tightening status". Consumables Category Check content Maintenance Action Judgment criteria Leveling scraper/blade 1. Check whether the cutting edge has any notches or curling 1. Use a scraper to clean the remaining concrete to avoid corrosion 1. If the blade wear is greater than 3mm, it needs to be polished; if the chip is greater than 5mm, it needs to be replaced. 2. Whether the surface concrete residue is hardened 2. If the bolts are loose, tighten them with a torque wrench according to the standard torque. 2. The bolts have no thread slippage and no obvious displacement 3. Are the fixing bolts loose? Laser receiver 1. Check if there is dust or concrete slurry attached to the lens 1. Use a clean soft cloth to wipe the lens. Do not use high-pressure water to directly clean the lens. 1. The lens is free of scratches and obstructions 2. Check whether the connecting wire is damaged or the connector is loose. 2. Damaged cables must be replaced immediately to avoid signal interruption 2. The indicator light flashes normally when receiving laser signal Travel wheels/tracks 1. Is the tire pressure normal (pneumatic tire) 1. Fill the tire pressure according to the instructions (usually 0.8-1.2bar) 1. Track teeth wear > 1/3 and need to be replaced 2. Check whether the track shoe has cracks or tooth wear 2. Add lithium-based grease when the bearing makes abnormal noise 2. No deviation or lag when walking 3. Is there any abnormal noise from the wheel bearing? For the transmission, hydraulic, and lubrication system consumables that support the operation of the equipment, focus on checking the "oil status" and "component aging." Hydraulic oil filter: Observe whether there are metal debris and impurities on the surface of the filter element. If the filter element is blocked and the indicator light is on, it needs to be replaced immediately (to avoid impurities from wearing the hydraulic pump). Hydraulic oil pipe/seal ring: Check whether the oil pipe has bulges or leakage, and whether the sealing ring is deformed or aged. If leakage is found, the corresponding parts should be replaced in time to prevent hydraulic oil loss and insufficient power. Travel motor bearings, scraper drive shaftFor rotating parts, add the specified type of grease (usually 2# lithium-based grease) according to the instructions. The amount of grease added each time should be based on a small amount that overflows from the gap to avoid overheating of the parts due to excessive grease. If it is an electric model, check whether the battery terminals are oxidized or loose. Sand the oxide layer with sandpaper and apply Vaseline to prevent rust. When the battery power is less than 20%, it needs to be charged in time to avoid deep discharge that affects the battery life. For consumables that have a long lifespan but need to be replaced regularly, focus on "performance degradation". Laser transmitter: Check whether the brightness of the laser tube is attenuated (compare with the light spot intensity of a new machine). If the light spot is blurred or the range is shortened, the laser tube needs to be replaced (it is recommended to use original accessories to avoid model mismatch affecting accuracy). Filter elements (air/fuel): The fuel filter and air filter need to be replaced as a whole to avoid blockage after long-term use, which may lead to insufficient engine fuel supply and poor air intake. After replacement, start the machine and run it at idle speed for 5 minutes to check for leaks. Wear parts backup: Reserve 1-2 sets of wearing parts (such as scraper blades, seals, and filter elements) in advance to avoid a shortage of spare parts in the event of a sudden failure, which would affect the construction progress. The core of the maintenance of consumables of concrete laser leveling machine is "High frequency to check wear, medium frequency to maintain operation, low frequency to replace aging parts". Records must be kept for each inspection (such as wear amount, replacement time), and the cycle and parameters specified in the equipment manual must be strictly followed to maximize the life of consumables and ensure construction accuracy.Read More

Want to extend the life of laser leveling machine parts? Understanding the structure and frequent maintenance are very important
As a new floor construction equipment, laser leveling machine has attracted wide attention from the industry due to its excellent construction efficiency and construction accuracy as soon as it entered the market, and has been increasingly used in large-scale concrete floor construction in warehouses, basements, parking lots, industrial plants, etc. Like other construction machinery, laser leveling machine is also a whole composed of many parts, and the construction environment is relatively complex, so it is easier to wear than general mechanical parts during long-term work. In order to extend the effective service life of the laser leveling machine, the following is a brief introduction to the main components of its parts and the tips for use and maintenance. —-Core components and functions of laser leveling machine—- ➤Transmission system: mainly composed of transmission, universal joint, transmission shaft and drive axle; ➤Travel system: composed of frame/axle/suspension/wheels, etc. The function is to support the quality of the whole vehicle and ensure the driving of the laser leveler; ➤ Steering system: It is composed of steering wheel, steering gear, steering knuckle, steering knuckle arm, tie rod, straight tie rod, etc., and its function is steering; ➤ Hydraulic brake: The hydraulic brake device is composed of brake pedal, master brake cylinder, slave cylinder, drum brake and oil pipe and other parts; ➤ Transmission: It is composed of transmission case, transmission cover, first shaft, second shaft, intermediate shaft, reverse shaft, gear, bearing, operating mechanism and other parts, which are used for laser leveler speed change and output torque change; ➤ Leaf spring and shock absorber: The function of leaf spring is to maintain elastic connection between frame and body and wheels or axles. The function of shock absorber is to ease vibration when laser leveler is subjected to vibration shock; ➤ Starter: Its function is to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, drive crankshaft rotation, and start engine. If the continuous starting time is too long, the battery will be discharged in large quantities and the starter coil will overheat and smoke, which will easily damage the laser leveling machine parts; ➤Battery: The function of the battery is to supply electricity to the starter, and to supply power to the engine ignition system and other electrical equipment when the engine is started or running at low speed. When the engine is running at high speed, the generator generates sufficient electricity, and the battery can store excess electricity; ➤Motor: The motor is the power device of the laser leveling machine. Its main function is to generate driving torque as a power source for electrical appliances or various machines. Its main function is to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. At present, it is more commonly used to use heat energy, water energy, etc. to drive the generator rotor to generate electricity. —-Use and maintenance of core parts of laser leveling machine—- ➤Regularly replace lubricating oil to ensure that all parts of the machine are well lubricated and reduce the wear of parts; ➤Keep the whole machine and parts clean regularly, and tighten loose parts in time to prevent loose parts from aggravating the wear of parts or causing the loss of parts; ➤Pay attention to the workload of each part during the running-in period. The workload during the running-in period should generally not exceed 80% of the rated workload, and deploy appropriate workload to prevent overheating caused by long-term continuous operation of the laser leveling machine; ➤Start the leveling machine engine once every half a month to charge the battery and run all hydraulic actuators, such as rotating hydraulic motors, telescopic cylinders, etc. Do not remove the battery from the machine to prevent the failure of the controller's internal software program being lost due to long-term parking of the equipment; ➤Start the leveling machine regularly and turn on all hydraulic functions on the machine to allow the hydraulic drive components to work regularly to prevent the relevant seals from being damaged due to long-term parking, and metal components such as cylinder rods from rusting. Try to retract all cylinder rods into the hydraulic cylinder oil chamber as much as possible to better protect the surface of the cylinder rod. Reasonable use and regular maintenance of various components are effective ways to extend the service life of the laser leveling machine and improve the economic benefits of the operation. It is recommended that before using the leveling machine, you should be fully familiar with the composition and functions of each component of the machine, master the correct operation method, and strengthen daily maintenance.Read More
