The wear resistance of the concrete surface is related to its hardness, and soaking in water will soften the concrete, thereby reducing its wear resistance. In addition, chemicals in the water may also reduce the wear resistance of concrete if they react with certain components in the concrete.   Finally, prolonged immersion in water may subject concrete to water pressure and flow rates. If a concrete structure is surrounded by water water pressure can cause stress on the structure, especially if the water depth is large. Additionally, flow rates can cause abrasion and erosion of concrete surfaces, especially in environments such as rivers and oceans.   – Speed: According to the requirements of the trowel machine's instruction manual, reasonably control the speed of the trowel. If the speed is too high, the friction between the trowel and the ground material will increase sharply, resulting in increased wear. For example, for general concrete troweling operations, controlling the speed within a reasonable range (such as 100-150 rpm) can effectively reduce the wear of the trowel. – Pressure: During operation, avoid applying too much pressure to the trowel. Excessive pressure will cause excessive friction between the trowel and the ground. The correct approach is to apply moderate pressure according to the flatness of the ground and the requirements for troweling. For example, when finely troweling a ground that has been preliminarily leveled, only light pressure is needed to allow the trowel to slide smoothly on the ground.   – Avoid idling: After the trowel is started, the trowel should be placed on the ground material as soon as possible to avoid long-term idling of the trowel. Because when idling, the friction between the edge of the trowel and the air and the centrifugal force generated by its own high-speed rotation may cause slight deformation or damage to the trowel, thus affecting its service life. – Uniform operation: When performing trowel operations, keep the movement trajectory of the trowel uniform. Try to avoid repeated excessive troweling in a local area, which will cause excessive wear of the trowel in that area. For example, when troweling a large area of ​​concrete floor, use a zigzag or spiral movement trajectory to make the trowel uniformly stressed and worn on the entire floor.   – Clean up debris in time: After each use of the trowel machine, clean up concrete residues, dust and other debris on the trowel in time. If these debris are attached to the trowel for a long time, the friction between the trowel and the ground will increase the next time it is used, accelerating wear. You can use a soft brush or a compressed air gun to clean the trowel. – Prevent chemical corrosion: If the trowel comes into contact with liquids containing chemicals (such as concrete admixtures, acidic or alkaline detergents, etc.), rinse it with clean water in time. Because chemicals may corrode metal trowels, reducing their hardness and wear resistance.   – Regular inspection: Check the wear of the trowel regularly (such as every week or every two weeks), including the degree of wear on the blade, whether there are cracks or deformation on the surface, etc. If problems are found, they should be repaired or replaced in time. At the same time, check whether the connection between the trowel and the trowel machine is firm. If there is any looseness, tighten the fixing screws in time. – Proper lubrication: Apply an appropriate amount of lubricant, such as grease, to the connecting shaft of the trowel. Lubrication can reduce friction at the connection point and prevent damage to the connecting shaft and trowel due to heat generated by friction. It also helps the trowel to rotate flexibly, indirectly extending its service life.   – Storage in a dry environment: Store the trowel in a dry and well-ventilated environment to avoid humid environments that cause metal rust. If the trowel is rusty, the rust layer on its surface will increase the friction with the floor material and accelerate wear. You can place a desiccant in the storage area, or use anti-rust oil to simply protect the trowel. – Store separately to avoid collision: Try to store the trowel separately to avoid collision with other tools or hard objects. Because collision may cause damage such as gaps and deformation on the trowel, affecting its normal use and service life. If you need to stack the trowels, place soft isolation materials in the middle, such as foam boards or rubber pads.

HOW TO MAINTAIN CONCRETE FLOORS IN DIFFERENT SEASONS? -VANSE Machinery The current concrete floor is compacted with a concrete laser leveling machine, and there is almost no error. Concrete technology is becoming more and more important. Concrete has developed from the initial low-strength grade and ordinary concrete to today's high-strength grade and high performance. Sometimes the maintenance of concrete is often ignored in engineering construction, causing the surface of the concrete to shrink. , cracking, peeling and other phenomena, in order to make the concrete floor more sustainable and long-term use, it is necessary to pay special attention to the concrete curing method during construction. Different environments have different maintenance methods: During the high temperature and dry season, the moisture in concrete is easy to lose, so the following measures should be actively taken: 1. Cooling measures must be taken during construction, such as choosing to pour at night to avoid direct sunlight, and adjusting the concrete ratio in time. 2. At the same time, it must be noted that the temperature of the concrete formwork must be cooled, because if the temperature of the formwork is too high, the surface of the concrete will lose moisture quickly after pouring, resulting in defects such as sanding on the concrete surface. The maintenance of concrete in this season requires a lot of water, especially for the parts that are not easy to maintain, such as columns, cover beams, and beam webs, they should be tightly wrapped with geotextiles and sprinkled regularly. The surface of the concrete is always in a humid environment. In the early stage of curing, the concrete surface is sometimes dry and sometimes wet, because the strength of concrete that is sometimes dry and sometimes wet is easy to reduce, and it is easy to produce shrinkage cracks. Therefore, within 7 days of concrete pouring, it is necessary to prevent water evaporation and keep the concrete surface moist. In short, the focus of concrete maintenance in this season is moisturizing. If measures such as moisturizing and cooling are done well, problems such as early setting of concrete, plastic cracks, reduction of concrete strength and durability caused by high temperature will not appear. In the cold season when the temperature is lower than 5°C, the following measures should be taken for the maintenance of concrete: 1. After demoulding, cover and maintain the insulation. 2. The use of steam curing. 3. Improve the thermal insulation performance of the formwork. Most of the steel formwork used in bridge construction has good thermal conductivity and is easy to lose temperature. Therefore, insulation materials such as straw curtains should be wrapped outside the formwork or measures such as thickened formwork and double-layer formwork should be used. 4. Increase the mixing temperature of concrete. First of all, the heating treatment of the mixing water can be considered, and the aggregate can also be considered to be heated. The purpose is to ensure the initial cement hydration temperature and improve the early strength of the concrete. If the maintenance of concrete in the early cold period takes the above measures actively, the concrete will be prevented from freezing due to low temperature. After the concrete is frozen, its hydration will stop. After the temperature rises, although it can continue, the surface of the concrete has changed. Crisp, lose strength, and even larger cracks appear. Therefore, it is necessary to especially strengthen the early insulation and maintenance of concrete, and it must not be frozen before the concrete strength reaches 50% of the design strength.
